Ways to display polaroids and posters at home

Photos and prints look best when they are on display — but a little planning keeps them safe and your walls clean.
A string of polaroids
Hang a thin string or fairy lights across a wall and clip your polaroids along it with small wooden pegs. Easy to change whenever you like.
A gallery wall
Lay everything out on the floor first, in the arrangement you like, then copy it onto the wall. Keep the gaps between frames equal for a neat look.
Keep them out of the sun
Direct sunlight fades colour faster than anything else. Hang prints on a wall that does not get harsh afternoon sun, and frame your favourites behind glass or acrylic.
Stick up without the damage
- Use poster putty, removable hanging strips or washi tape on the white border
- Never put strong tape on the printed side
- Avoid damp walls and steamy rooms like the bathroom or kitchen
